CCKC Book Club will teach students to take turns, listen to their peers and engage in conversation related to the story presented. Children will engage in unique, hands-on science experiences that are as entertaining as they are educational. Each class is an interactive, age-appropriate exploration of a specific science topic designed to captivate the curious nature of young children. Preschoolers will enjoy engaging demonstrations, performing simple experiments and will discover how science can help better understand the world around us!

Looking for a "pre" preschool experience for you and your child to enjoy together? This 45 minute preschool readiness program provides children the opportunity to familiarize themselves with a set routine. Each class is based around a theme such as: colors, seasons, shapes and animals. Instructor will welcome everybody to class and introduce the theme. The theme will carry over to all parts of the class including: literature, art and snack. This is a valuable experience for continuing on to any preschool program.

CCKC runs social skills groups for children who have difficulty making friends, participating in social communication, and understanding the "unspoken rules" of conversations. Carefully planned, structured group interventions will benefit individuals with: High functioning Autism, Asperger's Syndrome/PDD, Language-based Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder, Specific Language Impairment and Language Delay. The group is run by a Speech Language Pathologist. Children are age and skill matched. Activities and discussions address pragmatic and language skills, including: difficulty initiating and participating in play, difficulty initiating and participating in conversation, making friends, understanding social situations, interpreting and applying facial expressions and body language and problem solving. Groups will be formed based on children's age and specific needs.

Parents can hold their playgroup at CCKC's play town. Besides being fun for children and their parents, playgroups are integral for language development and socialization. Inquire within for more information.

 "Wiggles and Squiggles": a prewriting program for 2-3 yr olds. Multi sensory activities will be used to develop your child's underlying skills for legible, efficient handwriting. Proper grasp, hand strengthening, eye hand coordination, and prewriting strokes will be introduced through games and activities in a fun, social setting. 6 week session. $40 material fee.

"Road To Reading" is a great way to introduce children to the world of reading.  Through books, games, songs, crafts and more children will have fun without even realizing that they are learning at the same time.

This 45 minute class is all about exploration and discovery. Children will discover the world around them by exploration through play, songs, movement, books and sensory activities while incorporating some beginners arts and crafts.  Ages 12-16 months

This eight week workshop will introduce children to the basics and fundamentals of performing onstage for all genres of theater.  Special attention will be placed on physical movement exercises that will teach your child how to use the entire body and voice in performance and presentation.  The class will culminate in a presentation of theater games for family and friends.
