Children will listen to a popular book presented by the teacher. Children will engage in a discussion about the book learning different terminology (characters, setting, conflict, solution). CCKC Book Club will teach students to take turns, listen to their peers and engage in conversation related to the story presented. Children will then participate in a cooking, art or other activity that relates to the story.

Children will experiment with different foods and techniques while making simple recipes in 30 minutes or less. Children will have the opportunity to develop fine motor, math and social skills while creating their yummy treats. Children will learn how to mix, measure, pour, and sift various ingredients to create delicious, kid-friendly treats. By the end of the session, each child will have a collection of recipes that the child can recreate at home.

Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga classes contain dozens of unique yoga postures designed to support baby’s development. Each class is filled with calming, nurturing ways to enhance bonding and improve baby’s sleep. For parents, this class is a special opportunity to meet other moms, get support, and learn about baby's emerging personality. Most of the yoga we do in Itsy Bitsy Yoga is for baby, but you will also learn breathing and relaxation techniques as you practice a bit of yoga yourself. No yoga is experience required. Please bring a mat or towel.  Classes are formed based on requests.

CCKC offers infant massage class from the International Association of Infant Massage for infants 3 weeks to 6 months. Parents will learn how to massage their infants in a warm & compassionate environment. Baby Massage promotes relaxation, stimulation, relief of physical discomfort and bonding/attachment between the parent and child.

Looking for a "pre" preschool experience for you and your child to enjoy together? This 45 minute preschool readiness program provides children the opportunity to familiarize themselves with a set routine. Each class is based around a theme such as: colors, seasons, shapes and animals. Instructor will welcome everybody to class and introduce the theme. The theme will carry over to all parts of the class including: literature, art and snack. This is a valuable experience for continuing on to any preschool program.

CCKC runs social skills groups for children who have difficulty making friends, participating in social communication, and understanding the "unspoken rules" of conversations. Carefully planned, structured group interventions will benefit individuals with: High functioning Autism, Asperger's Syndrome/PDD, Language-based Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder, Specific Language Impairment and Language Delay. The group is run by a Speech Language Pathologist. Children are age and skill matched. Activities and discussions address pragmatic and language skills, including: difficulty initiating and participating in play, difficulty initiating and participating in conversation, making friends, understanding social situations, interpreting and applying facial expressions and body language and problem solving. Groups will be formed based on children's age and specific needs.

Children will have a ball going on yoga adventures to the beach, jungle, space, farm and so many other fun places while listening to fun music, playing games, and acting out stories. Children will also learn great relaxation techniques. This class helps with children's coordination, concentration, attention, flexibility and helps increase self esteem.
