Classes

All classes for newborns to age two require a parent or caregiver in attendance. All classes for potty trained 3 year olds are separation optional. Only one adult per child, please. All classes for four year olds and older are drop-off classes, however, parents or caregivers must remain on the premises at all times. CCKC has a wonderful large and comfortable waiting area directly outside the classrooms. Parents or caregivers of children in a separation class can play in CCKC's play town with sibling for no charge during the class.

Spring Minishakers - 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Featuring music by Milkshake and other children’s favorites. "Minishakers" is a rockin’ music class that encourages kids to sing, play instruments and dance to live music. Looking for a "pre" preschool experience for you and your child to enjoy together? This 45 minute preschool readiness program provides children the opportunity to familiarize themselves with a set routine. Each class is based around a theme such as: colors, seasons, shapes and animals. Instructor will welcome everybody to class and introduce the theme. The theme will carry over to all parts of the class including: literature, art and snack. This is a valuable experience for continuing on to any preschool program.

Spring Pumpkin Theater Presents Playtime Theatre - 4 pm to 4:45 pm

Pumpkin Theater Presents Playtime Theatre– This eight week workshop will focus on working with classic and contemporary stories, interactive play and ensemble building. Your child will learn a variety of dramatic skills including creative movement, how to create a character, and improvisation. Children will experiment with different foods and techniques while making simple recipes in 30 minutes or less. Children will have the opportunity to develop fine motor, math and social skills while creating their yummy treats. Children will learn how to mix, measure, pour, and sift various ingredients to create delicious, kid-friendly treats. By the end of the session, each child will have a collection of recipes that the child can recreate at home.

Summer CCKCs Little Yogis - 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 am

Children will love practicing fun-filled yoga poses at CCKC's LIttle Yogis class. Children will have a ball going on yoga adventures to the beach, jungle, space, farm and so many other fun places while listening to fun music, playing games, and acting out stories. Children will also learn great relaxation techniques. This class helps with children's coordination, concentration, attention, flexibility and helps increase self esteem. Little Yogis is taught by a certified Karma Kids instructor. $10 materials fee for yoga mat. Namaste!

Children will learn a new letter/sound each session. They will prepare a recipe corresponding to the weekly letter to enjoy at the end of class. While the treats are cooking, students will have fun engaging in phonemic awareness activities and other alphabet games and crafts.

Children will listen to a popular book presented by the teacher. Children will engage in a discussion about the book learning different terminology (characters, setting, conflict, solution). CCKC Book Club will teach students to take turns, listen to their peers and engage in conversation related to the story presented. Spring Its Groovy Baby Music Together Tambourine Collection - 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Birth-5 years with the adults that love them 10 week session Wednesdays at 10 am and 11 am April 3, 10, 17, 24, May 5, 8, 15, 22, 29, June 5 This is the essential Music Together class, one that a child can attend from birth through age five- and through all nine song collections. This basic class follows the recommendations of child development reserachers- grouping children of various ages in one class. "Better Letters: CAPITALS" and "Better Letters: lowercase" Two handwriting programs for 4-5 year olds. Your child will learn appropriate capital or lowercase letter formation, spacing, and efficient grasp in a fun filled multi sensory environment. Learn to prevent and correct reversals and develop good writing habits from an early age. Legible and fluent writing will lay the foundation for their confidence and future academic success. Music Together^® for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and those that love them! Video of Music Together families. The Music Together program was first offered to the public in 1987. Today classes are offered all over the world including a lab school in Princeton, NJ.
